The International Special Events Society (ISES) announced that it is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The celebration will culminate at ISES Eventworld 2012, August 2-4, in Dallas, TX at the Dallas Fairmont Hotel.

During the 1980s, as events developed in gigantic spectacles and multi-day festivals, the risks and liabilities grew at an ever-faster pace. The need arose for an association dedicated to education, ethics, and standards for the special events industry. Thus, ISES was born.

The International Special Events Society (ISES) was founded in 1987 in response to phenomenal growth in the special events industry, a growing demand for promoting professionalism, ethics, and providing continuing education. ISES is the only international umbrella organization representing professionals in all disciplines of the special events industry.

“We’re delighted to welcome everyone to join in our 25th anniversary celebration,” said ISES International President Terry Singleton, CSEP. “Our celebration honors our past, but more importantly, focuses on our commitment to the special events industry going forward in the next 25 years.”
