Our central location, where US Highway 14 and SD Highway 37 intersect, is within two hours driving time of 75% of South Dakota's population and within 5 hours of larger cities such as Minneapolis, MN; Lincoln, NE; and Fargo, ND. This convenient location increases attendance and saves money!
One of Huron’s proudest features is the Huron Event Center. The people of Huron invite you to come and experience the hometown hospitality in our meeting and convention facility. Bridging together the Crossroads Hotel & Convention Center with the Huron Arena and Exposition Center, the Huron Event Center connects these two facilities with over 34,000 square footage of meeting, banquet, and exposition space available all under one roof.
Huron Arena, with seating capacity of 5,000 people, is home to numerous athletic events and tournaments throughout the year and is recognized across the state as the premier venue for basketball tournaments.
The South Dakota State Fairgrounds offers 190 acres of space with 96 buildings, 1,200 campsites and parking for over 4,000 participants. It plays host too many regional and national events from major equestrian and livestock shows to major exhibitions and trade shows.
