Holland’s ode to all things Dutch doesn’t stop at Tulip Time! Sample a taste of Dutch culture at any of our Dutch Attractions. At Windmill Island Gardens, visitors can tour an authentic 250-year-old windmill imported from the Netherlands. Dutch Village hosts Queen’s Day on April 30, but stop by anytime for a Wooden Shoe making demonstration or cheese tasting. Veldheer Tulip Gardens hosts the Queen of the festival itself: the Tulip! At nearby DeKlomp Wooden Shoe and Delft Factory, visitors can see Delftware Pottery being handcrafted. The Dutch Art galleries at the Holland Museum are also a must-see for anyone interested in Dutch culture. The collection of 17th,-19th Century Dutch art and furnishings has been described as one of the best in the United States.

Several local restaurants offer Dutch entrees and keep an eye on the architecture of downtown and Hope College for Dutch-inspired gables and embellishments.
