Let's break this down to the origins.
Thank you, Merriam-Webster.com:
Art: 1. Something that is created with imagination and skill that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings. 2. Works created by artists: paintings, sculptures, etc., that are created to be beautiful or to express important ideas or feelings. 3. The methods and skills used for painting, sculpting, drawing, etc.
Is writing an art? In my opinion, Yes. Is life art? In my opinion, Yes again.
Of: 1. Belonging to, relating to, or connected with (someone or something) - used to indicate that someone or something belongs to a group of people or things. 2. Living or occurring in (a specified country, city, town, etc.)
Are you connected to your work? Do you create experiences as you live each day, occurring all around you?
We face many risks daily, but are you doing your best to be excited and enjoy the experiences?
The Art of Adventure - it is a filter I choose to live my life through. Attitude and gratefulness go a long way to enjoying each day. I look forward to enjoying adventures, small or large, that come my way...let's be honest I seek them out and run them down sometimes. In every aspect of my life, from parenthood to event planner, from writer to traveler, from friend to Girl Scout troop leader, and everything above, beyond, and in between…I know ‘adventure is out there.’
So, how does this apply to you personally, the meeting and event industry, and you within the meeting and event industry? I believe that once you reach that place where you are living a life of adventure, the entire concept will trickle into every part of your life where you need it most.
Here you, the reader, will learn more about the adventures I fall into, run down, or trip over in the meeting and event world. Join me on this fun, fearful, fierce ride. You never know what awaits around each corner.
