Dynamic Tourism Leader Recognized for Industry Contributions
Congratulations to Deb Archer, President and CEO of the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and Madison Area Sports Commission (MASC) for being recognized as an In Business 2015 Women of Industry award winner.
As President and CEO of the GMCVCB and MASC, Archer is well known as the voice and face of tourism in Dane County and beyond. At the helm of the GMCVB since 1995, she’s had significant impact on the tourism industry from a local, regional, national and international perspective. Her contributions range from her involvement in developing programs that are replicated around the country to championing tourism as a key business sector of the local and state economy. Archer leads a team of more than 30 staff members whose mission is to grow the Greater Madison area’s economy through tourism. In addition to Archer, the 2015 winners include Ayla Annac, Lisa Kivirist, Jordyn Schara and Carol “Orange” Schroeder. Winners were selected by a panel of well-regarded female business leaders from the Greater Madison community.
The GMCVB is honored to play a key role in supporting the more than 19,000 Dane County jobs supported by tourism.
