The SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) was announced as the second consecutive gold Stella Award winner by Northstar Meetings Group in the highly coveted Best Convention Center in the Midwest region category. “The Stella Awards program is the first in the meetings industry to combine public, planner voting and third-party, objective planner judging,” said David Blansfield, executive vice president and group publisher. “To be a Stella winner indicates that a provider’s product is the best of the best, a shining star in the meetings industry.” |
Nearly 10,000 votes were cast for the providers nominated in 18 categories in six regions worldwide.
Northstar Meetings Group is the publisher of Successful Meetings, Incentive, Meeting News, Meetings & Conventions, SportsTravel and TEAMS.
“We are proud that our facility is receiving the Stella Award for the second year in a row and are honored by the accolade,” said GCCC General Manager John R. Page.
