MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 19, 2016 Jim Kyndberg, executive chef for Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown has been awarded the 2015 third quarter Hospitality Hero award from Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitors Association. The award honors an individual or company who has contributed significantly to the public image of Minneapolis through outstanding hospitality and service.
Kyndberg was nominated by Al Giraud-Isaacson, director of human resources at Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown. Kyndberg leads a team of culinary experts who provide an authentic Minneapolis culinary experience to visitors and locals alike. Kyndbergs influence on the Minneapolis food scene has been featured on local TV shows including Minnesota Bound and the DeRusha Eats segment on WCCO-TV News.
Giraud-Isaacson has been continuously impressed with Kyndbergs trend-setting farm to table approach, which gives visitors the opportunity to experience Minneapolis in a way that honors the history of the hotel and city. Kyndbergs commitment to local farmers has opened guests up to a whole new Minneapolis food experience.
Whether it's meat, cheese, grains, produce, honey, maple syrup etc., Chef Jim has been proud to highlight these local products in an effort to expose the multitude of travelers to some of the best food Minneapolis and Minnesota have to offer, said Giraud-Isaacson.
The Meet Minneapolis Hospitality Hero award is given quarterly to members of the Minneapolis hospitality community who have been nominated by their peers.
