AmericanHort’s Cultivate’17, the largest trade show hosted annually by the SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC), will be the first to use the entirety of the newly expanded and renovated facility upon the event’s return July 15-18.
“Our attendees are sophisticated people operating sophisticated businesses globally and as small family businesses,” said Ken Fisher, AmericanHort president and chief executive officer. “The service they get from the GCCC is second to none.”
Blending a Trade Show News Network Top 200 Trade Show with educational sessions and networking opportunities, Cultivate attracts attendees from every state and about 22 countries.
New this year will be Cultivate’s utilization of the new North Atrium at Goodale and High Streets for check-in and registration, 30,000 added square feet of exhibit space -- which assisted exhibitors previously on the waiting list for a trade show booth -- and collaboration spaces available along the main concourse to relax and mingle.
There will be about 10,000 attendees, more than 125 educational sessions and an increase of more than 65 exhibitors this year to reach a total of 700 exhibitors.
Morning Jolt Keynote speaker Jon Gordon is the best-selling author of the Wall Street Journal Best Business Pick, “The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work and Team With Positive Energy.” During his address at 8 a.m. July 16, he will provide techniques to propel positive energy into true accomplishment.
Additionally, Cultivate’17 will feature:
• A member center positioned in the midst of the trade show

• Succession Planning Workshop
• CareerUP: Define Your Future event
• Retail floriculture, nursery and urban agriculture tours
