On June 13, 2017, metroConnections client Blattner Energy was recognized by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) as the recipient of the Seven Seals Award for its work with Beyond the Yellow Ribbon to create its annual giveback event in which more than 450 employees created 3,400 care packages and 170 blankets for service men and women.
For nearly 35 years, metroConnections has been helping businesses and organizations build great relationships to help their charity of choice and has a long history of helping companies and organizations create meaningful events as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. CSR and giveback activities are increasing in popularity, and metroConnections leads the way with current and custom-designed programs.
“We are so proud that the Blattner team has been recognized with this high honor and privilege and are thrilled to have been a part of this moving and heartfelt event,” says Emily Thielman, program manager of event services at metroConnections. “The entire Blattner team came together to make a big impact in the community and around the world. This was a great opportunity to build relationships and make a difference.”
The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by the ESGR, and is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission. Blattner Energy was recognized for meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve.
