(MADISON) Professional triathletes along with the amateur next door will be wading into the waters of Lake Monona to take part in the inaugural Wisconsin Milkman Triathlon. This first year event sold the first 100 registrations in under one minute and that was without even releasing the course to the public. "People told us they were registering on the good faith of our name, " says Brodie Birkel from Race Day Events, "that really makes us feel good about what we strive to do." The event will draw racers from 23 states with over 50% of all athletes coming from outside of Dane County. The race has worked hard to have little impact on the public during the day by designing courses with the various community leaders' input.
