On a gorgeous summer evening in Milwaukee, over 500 artists, makers, guests and supporters came together to christen Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel as it officially opened its doors to the community. The currently vacant Brett Favre's Steakhouse could become a new luxury hotel.
Marriott International announced that the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is now open. The 119-suite hotel, located at 10411 West Watertown Plank Road, will operate as a Marriott franchise, managed by Aimbridge Hospitality of Plano, Texas. General Manager Adam DeLude and Director of Sales Sarah Colon-Rivera lead the management team at the property for Aimbridge Hospitality.

Petri, a Milwaukee-based multidisciplinary artist, will work in the hotel’s lobby-level Artist’s Studio for one year beginning April 1, 2019. She is succeeding current Pfister Artist in Residence and fashion designer, Stephanie Schultz.

A developer is proposing to build a six-story hotel that would be the closest to UW-Madison's 17,230-seat Kohl Center.
Mortenson Development is proposing a full-service hotel with about 176 guest rooms and amenities on a parking lot at 760 Regent St. The site is just across the Southwest Commuter Path and railroad tracks from the Kohl Center, 601 W. Dayton St., and abuts the southern end of East Campus Mall.
