The Katy Trail State Park is 237.7 miles long and 100 feet wide with a crushed limestone biking and hiking path down the middle. It is likely the skinniest state park in the nation.
Nothing fancy. But like much of the history-soaked Missouri farmland, cities, towns, and hamlets through which the trail runs the Katy is clean, neat and well-kept. Residents are friendly. Businesses are accommodating. Visitors are welcome. America with an open-door policy.
