Charmaine Houck, Editor
Charmaine was welcomed to Midwest Meetings in March of 2016 and has already had quite the impact!
Not surprising, considering she has many years of experience in professional event planning, working with large corporate companies, leading local community organizations, and managing personal events. Her strong background in customer service and philanthropy shows through in much of her life, from sharing her love of premium craft beer and educating patrons at Wooden Legs Brewing Company to co-leading a local Girl Scout Daisy Troop, and co-founding and helping to maintain two local non-profit organizations; Brookings Girls Pint Out and Midwest Maidens Roller Derby.
"Living passionately through experience" is very much at the core of who Charmaine is as a person. She stays joyfully busy by spending time with her husband and their three children, while also staying closely involved in her community. Her adventurous spirit keeps her working at checking off an ever-growing bucket list and if travel, new foods or beverages, and meeting new people are involved, she is there!
Charmaine’s impressive list of hobbies include: Cooking/Baking, Competitive Roller Derby, Camping, Knitting, Photography, Kayaking, Biking, and so much more! Oh, and did we mention travel?
Charmaine is very excited to be at Midwest Meetings, reach out to her to share your meeting and event stories.
