Attractions: Historic Downtown Fargo which boasts trendy eateries, locally owned boutiques and
a vibrant night life. Cultural attractions such as the Hjemkomst Center and Bonanzaville showcase the Scandinavian heritage and early settlers of the Red River Valley. No matter what time of the year, there is always a game to see with one of our many sports teams such as the FM RedHawks, Fargo Force or NDSU Bison.
It may be a Midwestern locale in the middle of the country, but Fargo-Moorhead is actually more off center. In fact, you’ll find it at the forefront, pushing the boundaries. It’s a bit of a misfit, but you’ll fit right in. Fargo-Moorhead has set the bar far above what’s normal in most other American destinations.
Its cool factor doesn’t only come from its biting winter winds. Fargo is an innovative, unconventional hub of the upper Midwest, with wonderfully eccentric attractions served up with a generous mix of small-city atmosphere and big-city energy. Enjoy browsing in independently owned boutiques, eateries and stores. Go nuts at an NDSU Bison game. Check out the zoo, or one of the many music and arts venues in town. And don’t forget to swing by the Fargo-Moorhead visitor’s center for the area’s most notorious photo op with the wood chipper used in the Coen Brothers’ classic film, Fargo.
All you need to bring is your spirit of adventure (and maybe some mittens). We are located at the intersection of interstate highways I-94 and I-29. And 20 daily jet flights serve five nearby hub cities, including Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, Dallas and Salt Lake City.
