Trina Flack, National Sales Manager, for the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been named a 2017 “Forty Under 40” honoree by Des Moines Business Record – a Greater Des Moines weekly business publication. Forty Under 40 awards are given annually to 40 local business leaders, under the age of 40, for their career achievements and community involvement. Flack was nominated and selected for the award for her significant contributions in the tourism industry both in and out of the office. Flack has been with the bureau since 2008. “Trina is a true leader, innovator, multi-tasker, and valuable asset to our team,” says Greg Edwards, President & CEO of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau and Des Moines Area Sports Commission. “Her strategic selling techniques and approach is vital to the success of the visitor industry in Greater Des Moines.” |
Flack is a graduate of Iowa State University where she received her Master in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication, and Minor in Business. She is a graduate of the Iowa Society of Association of Executives Leadership Program and the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and has received her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation. Flack will be awarded for her Forty Under 40 designation in March in front of nearly 500 business leaders, friends, families, and other honorees.
