Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, a premier business and leisure hotel located in the heart of downtown St. Louis on the iconic Gateway Arch grounds, has presented a $15,000 check to Kingdom House, a local social services agency that helps the economically disadvantaged achieve economic independence, self-sufficiency and a path out of poverty. The organization was awarded the grant as part of Hyatt Community Grants Program, and in correspondence with the company’s #GivingTuesday. “Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch is thrilled that Kingdom House has been awarded a 2017 Hyatt Community Grant,” said Randy Thompson, general manager of Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. “As part of the Hyatt Thrive program, we encourage our team members to be philanthropists and help local organizations. Through our volunteer outreach, we have built a strong relationship with Kingdom House, and thought it was important to nominate the organization for this grant based on all of the incredible work they do to help those in need in our community.” |
The Hyatt Community Grants Program allows Hyatt colleagues all over the world to nominate nonprofits in their communities to receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000. Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch nominated Kingdom House, which is one of the many organizations throughout the country to be selected as a recipient. The hotel has worked with Kingdom House since 2015 with employees volunteering every April as a part of Hyatt’s Global Month of Giving. The volunteers participate in service projects such as gardening, sorting donations, working with children, beautifying the grounds, and more.
Hyatt Corporation publicly announced its 2017 grant winners as part of #GivingTuesday. As Hyatt hotels throughout the world have donated over $3 million to nonprofit organizations since 2008, the week of #GivingTuesday will include a social media campaign, #WorldOfHyatt Gives Back, to honor this achievement.
