Kevin Corn, Innsbrook Resort’s PGA Head Golf Professional, recently received recognition from Folds of Honor, an organization that provides scholarships for the families of fallen or critically injured veterans.
Major Edward Pulido, senior vice president of the Folds of Honor Foundation, retired U.S. Army and Purple Heart recipient, recognized Corn for his consistent efforts promoting Folds of Honor through golf.
The commendation was given in recognition of Corn’s more than 12 years of continual support to Folds of Honor. Corn started contributing a portion of green fees as part of Patriot Golf Day to Folds of Honor in 2007 and he continues to support the organization through fundraising efforts at Innsbrook’s public golf course.
Rooney and Pulido engraved the award citing Corn’s “support in ensuring we leave no family behind on the field of battle. May God Bless You and the United States of America. Freedom Isn’t Free!”
There are approximately one million dependents who are eligible to receive Folds of Honor scholarships that are usually awarded locally.
“We are honored to support our veterans through Folds of Honor and are proud of Kevin’s dedication and work to serve and support our military families,” said Charlie Boyce, Chairman and CEO for Innsbrook Corporation.
A golf tournament supporting Folds of Honor will be held at Innsbrook Golf Course in fall 2019.
In addition to Corn’s work with Folds of Honor, he also founded the innovative junior golf program at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital helping kids in pediatric hospitals get better while learning the game of life. Visit his blog at http://www.innsbrook-resort.com/blog/category/golf.
