
Check out a typical day in the life of Mackenzie Kelley.
8:30 am: Arrive at work. Check emails and list of to do’s for the day.
9:00 am: Prep events center. One of our accredited businesses has reserved it for the day to host a training.
9:30 am: Make final changes to e-blast that will be sent to our accredited businesses promoting our upcoming events. Set-up registration link to track RSVPs, pull email list from database and send.
10:00 am: Website committee meeting to review updates from the council of BBBs and discuss content. We are in the process of redesigning our entire website and have put together a team of employees from all departments to work on it.
11:00 am: Caribou Coffee break with coworkers!
11:15 am: Finalize plans for our summer networking mixer with the venue downtown that will be hosting the event.
12:00 pm: Review venue proposals for our annual Torch Awards for Ethics ceremony, along with feedback from other BBBs on their event. Determine initial plans for this year’s ceremony.
12:45 pm: Lunch break. Run a quick errand and catch-up on personal emails/Facebook.
1:30 pm: Edit video testimonials we captured from accredited businesses at the Minneapolis Home & Garden Show last month. These will be used to attract future businesses by highlighting the benefits of being accredited with the BBB.
3:00 pm: Sponsorship meeting to determine sponsorship packages we are going to offer for our Torch Awards and Business Ethics Summit events, Student of Integrity Scholarship program and our ongoing orientations and networking events.
4:00 pm: Gather feedback from management team on accredited business survey and select questions to use. Determine timeline for distribution. This survey will be sent to all of our accredited businesses to gauge their opinions on services, benefits, events, communications and everything else BBB-related.
5:00 pm: Final reminder to companies about the radio spots they will be recording the next day to promote the 2013 Torch Awards. These radio spots feature our 2012 winning companies and encourage the public to nominate their favorite/the most ethical companies.
6:00 pm: Alzheimer’s Association Young Champions Executive Committee meeting.
8:00 pm: Work out at the YMCA and catch-up on TV shows from the previous week!
