Colonel Franzen
John J. Chow Hall’s take on an old Tiki classic, the 'Scorpion Bowl' is a complex blending of White Rum, Spiced Rum, Cognac and Gin mixed with a blend of citrus, pineapple and Orgeat. The bold, Juniper forward gin adds a great botanical complexity to the drink. The Scorpion is a large format drink (serves multiple guests) and has the complexity of several different cocktails. Named after Tim Franzen, the President of Graduate Hotels, the Colonel Franzen is a multi-layered drink served in a large hat, for a man who wears many hats.
Recipe:
Glass: COWBOY HAT
4 oz Polo blend (Pineapple, Orange, Lemon, lime juice and Orgeat.)
4 oz Franzen Batch (Angostura White Rum, Spiced rum, Hennessy Cognac, and Brokers Gin)
Directions: Whip (shake with crushed ice for 10 seconds or until dissolved), dump. Fill with crushed ice. Then garnish.

3 citrus wheels speared w/ umbrella (lem, lime, Orng)
