
There will be 479 teams and 5,000 athletes competing, surpassing the previous record of 420 teams set in 2013.
Throughout the eight days of the tournament, there will be club title competition for ages 12 to 18 and open division play reserved for athletes ages 14 to 18.
The GCCC hosted the girls’ version of the tournament in 2012 and the 2000 USA Volleyball Open National Championships. The GCCC has also hosted numerous Ohio Valley Region (OVR) tournaments over the years.
OVR is one of USA Volleyball’s largest regional associations, representing Ohio, West Virginia and the bordering counties of western Pennsylvania.
USA Volleyball is the national governing body for indoor and beach volleyball in the nation.
