The City of Brookfield, together with Visit Brookfield and North Central Group (NCG), today broke ground on the new Brookfield Conference Center. Local dignitaries and conference center affiliates turned a ceremonial first shovel to make way for beginning phases of construction at Brookfield’s premier destination for meetings, events, and collaboration. The October 10th groundbreaking celebration marks years of planning and approvals for the site, located at the south end of Brookfield Square Mall. Steven V. Ponto, Mayor of Brookfield, was joined by Rebecca Kleefisch, Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, and partners from Visit Brookfield and North Central Group for the commemorative event. “Today marks a special day as we officially break ground on the Brookfield Conference Center,” said Mayor Ponto. “This property, once completed, will be a foremost destination to connect our thriving community, the greater Milwaukee region, and beyond.” |
“This is an exciting milestone for the Brookfield market and a key piece to the redevelopment and revitalization in the area,” said Nancy Justman, president/CEO of Visit Brookfield. “Thoughtfully designed to foster innovation, the new Conference Center will be a preeminent site for regional meetings, state associations or corporate gatherings of any size.”
Coming in 2020, the Brookfield Conference Center and Hilton Garden Inn are part of the region’s ongoing commitment to make Brookfield a dynamic visitor and entertainment destination. The new development’s marquee location is within walking distance to over three million square feet of shopping, 150 restaurants and vast entertainment options in the area.
“It was a privilege to partner with The City of Brookfield and Visit Brookfield, to bring the Brookfield Conference Center and adjoining Hilton Garden Inn to the local market,” said Andy Inman, Vice President of Development at NCG. “The combination of our management expertise, power of the Hilton brand, and the distinctiveness of the new Conference Center will lead to an unparalleled guest experience in Brookfield."
