Babe Ruth League, Inc. International Headquarters has announced that the 2022 Babe Ruth 14-Year-Old World Series will be hosted by Williston, North Dakota and played at Ardean Aafedt Stadium.
As the host community, the Williston Babe Ruth League will select its own 14-year-old squad to compete in the event, which will also include eight regional champions from across the country and the North Dakota Babe Ruth 14-Yar-Old State Champion. The competition will begin with pool play before advancing to a single elimination bracket to determine the World Series champion.
“Williston has small town charm that keeps visitors coming back ,” said Larry Grondahl, Host President for the Babe Ruth League World Series. “We have been the proud hosts of the 2003 Babe Ruth 13-15 World Series, 2013 13-Year-Old World Series, 2016 13-15 World Series and look forward to once again welcoming hundreds of young, talented baseball teams from every corner of the country in 2022 for the Babe Ruth Baseball 14-Year-Old World Series.”
The World Series serves as gateway experiences for many first-time visitors, inspiring large numbers to make plans for subsequent trips and vacations to the area and region. Area hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping outlets, gas stations, entertainment venues and other local business will experience direct spending from attendees.
