The City of Branson Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission completed its review of the Branson Adventures Redevelopment project by approving the plan and sending it on to the Board of Aldermen, at a meeting of the TIF commission on March 5, 2018.
The development will anchor the west end of the Branson Entertainment Corridor, one of the Midwest’s most popular tourism destinations, and will deliver modern activities and experiences for tomorrow’s tourism market, including a whitewater rafting adventure; downhill bike and ropes courses; 100,000 square foot indoor water park; and more.
“We are grateful for the thorough review and discussion we have had with the city’s attorney, financial advisors and the entire TIF commission,” said David Cushman, the lead principal for CP Branson, LLC and a lifelong Branson resident. “Our project is a major undertaking and will create a best-in-class adventure resort that will drive an entirely new generation of guests to Branson. We are excited at the support we are receiving from the majority of the community and look forward to the next phase of public review.”
Construction of phase one of the development is estimated to begin in spring 2019 and be completed by spring 2021. Construction costs will total approximately $446 million. The Branson Adventures Redevelopment Plan will deliver long-term economic stability to Branson and the surrounding region by bolstering the area’s tourism popularity with year-round visitors.
