By Courtney Day MANSFIELD - Visitors to the Republican National Convention are likely to see targeted digital advertising designed to lure them to Mansfield, either around the time of the convention or sometime down the road. "If someone at the Q is using a mobile device, our ads will start popping up," Mansfield Convention and Visitors Bureau president Lee Tasseff said. This will be Mansfield CVB's first foray into geo-fencing, a digital advertising strategy that uses global positioning system technology to identify and target potential customers. If the strategy works well, Tasseff said, the CVB will continue to use it for other events that draw crowds to nearby cities. Read more at News Journal. |
