Oak Brook, IL – The DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) will be representing the DuPage County tourism industry at the U.S. Travel Association’s Annual International Pow Wow (IPW) conference and will be introducing its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Discovery Tours. The tours, developed in partnership with The Center for Gifted/Midwest Torrance Center for Creativity, were created with courses specifically designed to meet the unique educational needs of advanced learners within the “laboratory” of America’s Heartland. The goal of the tours is to help develop future generations of scientists and engineers through an exploration of world-class facilities and knowledge. The participants will be able to experience cutting edge advances in American technology within the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor with courses available in kinetic energy and electronics lab, chemical cacophony, genetics, advanced mathematics, economics, engineering, forensic science, web design, creative writing, performing arts, and more. |
