CVB Board Member Switches to Major Thoroughfare Board

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA)--Tupelo native Wesley Wells has been a member of the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Board.


Mayor Jason Shelton says that Wells' term on the CVB Board has ended, but the city does not want to lose his insight. 

"We had an opening on the Major Thoroughfare Committee. It worked out to where we could nominate him for that open position....He can continue to serve in the city of Tupelo. Just in a different capacity," said Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton.

Shelton says that Wells will begin serving on the Major Thoroughfare Committee immediately and finish out his term on the CVB board as well.
