You’re planning your next event at a waterpark resort/hotel and while you have everything covered on the meeting side, you’re a little unsure about the waterpark side.
What will everyone do? What about the attendees who will bring their families? Will those family members be able to participate in planned group activities? Should you even plan activities?
Now that your head is spinning, rest easy. Midwest Meetings spoke with a few waterpark resorts/hotels to learn about all the amazing activities for groups and just how easy it is to plan a few of them for your next event.
Now that you know you’ll have some assistance, what are some of the activities you can plan for your group?
From water slide races to organized water volleyball/polo matches and remote-controlled boat races, you can turn almost anything in the waterpark into a great group activity.
A little friendly competition is a great way to bring your group together after a day of meetings. Beginning in December, you’ll be able to have a surfing contest at Blue Harbor Resort with the addition of their state-of-the-art surfing simulator. Reward your top surfers with a private cabana party for the night. Or maybe your attendees would rather participate in an indoor mini-golf tournament.
Better yet, get your group into teams and test their skills in the waterpark with a Minute to Win It! contest, Wacky Olympics or do an activity in the style of The Amazing Race.
Meeting groups staying at one of Watiki Waterpark Resort’s hotels enjoy visiting attractions in the Black Hills area such as Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park.
Blue Harbor Resort offers the largest beach front of any Wisconsin resort. This opens up several new possibilities for your group, from beach volleyball and yoga on the beach to bonfires at night!
At Arrowwood Resort, take your group on a horseback ride or take advantage of the recreation center with indoor and outdoor tennis and basketball.
WaTiki advises planners looking to book their next meeting at a waterpark to have fun and be open to ideas. Taking corporate minded adults to a typically childlike activity may seem challenging but can be a great experience!
Arrowwood Resort has hosted many receptions and activities in the waterpark and their advice is to keep it simple! The waterpark IS the fun! Choose food items that fit the wet and wild atmosphere and your event is sure to be a success.
