Mid-morning pastries and coffee and afternoon cookies are a thing of the past. Today’s meeting breaks call for innovative and creative snacks to keep attendees engaged and energized! Take a look at some fun ideas for your next meeting break.
Use a variety of different candies and allow attendees to fill a bag or box with the sweet treasures offered. Vintage candy is popular right now (remember penny candy like wax lips and lick-a-sticks?). You can also match the candy to the color of the company logo or event logo.
A few gallons of ice cream and a variety of toppings are all you need for the start of an interactive, build-your-own-sundae break.
Snack Mix or Chips & Dips
Meeting venues, like A’BULAE in St. Paul, offer fun break menus. Consider a scoop-your-own-snack mix option with trail mix, gourmet snack mix, peanuts, cashews, pistachios, walnuts and more. Or chips and dips options like kettle chips and French onion dip, root vegetable chips and hummus or fresh cut vegetable chips and ranch.
Provide a few different types of cupcakes or cookies with a few choices of icing, sprinkles and other toppings. Monona Terrace® offers the Piece O’ Cake break with assorted cupcakes and a chilled glass of milk.
Get a popcorn machine and offer a variety of flavors to shake on top, like ranch, cheese, parmesan and garlic or caramel. Or simply provide different flavors of popcorn.
Bring some nostalgia to your attendees with savory items like pretzels, corn dogs and nachos and treats like frozen snickers and fresh lemonade. The Grand Wayne Convention Center partners with Hilton Fort Wayne and provides a fun option like this for breaks.
Re-energize attendees with protein and/or energy bars, fresh fruit, coffee and flavored waters. Or let them relax with healthy treats like fruit, granola and greek yogurt or smoothies.
Bring an air of sophistication to your break with finger sandwiches, crudités, scones, petit fours and a variety of tea.
This Fall, treat your attendees to a harvest of goodies like candy corn, pumpkin bread, caramel apples and apple cider. Consider offering butternut squash soup or curried pumpkin stew shooters too.
Your breaks should be filled with fun snacks that keep your attendees excited and energized throughout the day. We would like to thank Kimberly Moore, CMP, CTA, Events and Moore, A’BULAE, Monona Terrace and the Grand Wayne Convention Center/Hilton Fort Wayne for some of these great ideas.
