• A tequila twist on glazed pork belly found in a revitalized downtown space Downtown revitalizations have become a staple in this renaissance period of the Midwest. And it is here, in Fargo’s revitalized downtown, that you will find the newest of North Dakota’s The Toasted Frog locations. The Toasted Frog is an eclectic restaurant and lounge in the heart of downtown featuring wood fired pizzas, hand-cut steaks, and fresh seafood. They also boast a wonderful list of refreshments from wine and beer to an extensive array of martinis. Groups can enjoy impeccable service and sophisticated furnishings while tasting an array of flavors. |
“Fargo is up and coming,” Chef Schulz stated when asked about the local neighborhood of The Toasted Frog. “We use locally sourced items [from local farmers and growers] when we can…and create menu items that are unique and able to be marketed in our area.” When discussing his dish of Tequila-glazed pork belly served over a green chili succotash and finished with a citrus vinaigrette, Chef Schulz divulged that these are “flavors I’ve cooked with a lot in the past and I am very comfortable with them…it also has great appeal to our customers.” On top of that, or in this case under, the succotash has “a prevalent flavor profile and is wonderful this time of year,” according to Chef Schulz.
The Toasted Frog is happy to host parties, both large and small, in-house but also provides catering for local events. Chef Schulz and his team work with planners to design menus specifically for the group they will be serving taking into account “flavors of interest and budget” so that they can provide the best meal experience possible
