According to Matt Vande Bunte of Mlive.com Grand Rapids, Michigan is set for it's 6th consecutive year of record breaking hotel revenue. This $20 million bump in the revenue was an unexpected jump that will be bringing over $1 million from taxes that were not budgeted for. According to Vande Bunte, "The tax revenue pays debt on DeVos Place, the downtown Grand Rapids convention center, and funds part of the Experience Grand Rapids budget.
