by Mia Taylor Marking yet another noteworthy step forward in the effort to phase out single-use plastics that are not environmentally friendly, Intercontinental Hotels and Marriott International are doing away with miniature toiletries at many of their brands. The Wall Street Journal reported that Marriott International is switching from the small, giveaway bottles of shampoo and conditioner to larger, wall-mounted dispensers in 450 hotels at five brands and intends to expand the effort to 1500 hotels in North America by January.
