Conveniently Healthy
- Local ingredients, served fresh daily
- Convenience for Chicagoland travelers

There’s a little company with handcrafted salads, wraps, snacks and more on their menu. They’re making these items fresh daily, with local ingredients, and then delivering them to vending machines. That’s right, vending machines.

The idea came to founder Luke Saunders when he realized health-conscious people were struggling to find nutritious meals and snacks that were easily accessible.
These kiosks can be found throughout the Chicago area, including the Chicago Marriott O’Hare. “We’re currently working hard to get into airports and transit hubs to make it easier for frequent travelers to find healthy options,” said Saunders. “I was a frequent traveler which is part of why I started Farmer’s Fridge.”
There’s also good news for your meeting taking place within Chicago’s Loop. Farmer’s Fridge caters, with a wide menu and large catering platters as well.
Some of the menu items available, either as a salad or wrap, include:
The Antioxidant (aka The Free-Radical Assassin) - Mixed greens, goat cheese, mixed berries, almonds and more, served with a white balsamic vinaigrette;
The Cheater (aka Guilt-Free Gluttony) - Romaine, turkey bacon, white ceddar, hard-boiled egg, sunflower seeds and veggies, served with honey mustard dressing; and
The Detox (aka The Junk Food Eraser) - Kale, quinoa, sprouts and fennel meet pineapple, blueberries and white beans, served with a cider vinegar-lemon dressing.
According to Saunders, Farmer’s Fridge has been approached by a few Midwest cities and one day hopes to expand nationwide.
