• Attach, lock, and go • Travel light with this travel safe We live in a world where more of our business is being conducted from our smartphone or other mobile tech devices, but what happens when you would like to leave that device for a moment? We don’t necessarily live in a world where your valuables and valuable hand-held data won’t be swiped. To fill this void comes SAFEGO, a lightweight and portable travel safe. The SAFEGO was specifically designed for theft prevention, housing a key safe and custom combination lockbox all in one tidy compartment that can hold your tablet, smartphone, keys, wallet, camera, you name it. The SAFEGO can be attached to almost anything with its plastic coated, heavy-duty steel cable and you have the security to walk away from your seat, hotel room, beach cabana, or bicycle knowing items are safely locked away. With added features of heavy duty ABS impact resistance, water resistance, and an earphone plug your items can be free from the elements in almost any situation. |
Midwest Meetings got a chance to speak with Zack Perlman, Founder of the company, about SAFEGO and how it is able to be utilized in the meetings and events industry. SAFEGO is being used as “promotional and branded items” in the meetings and events realm and are “being requested for rentals at large events.” Perlman added, “For large rentals we have a ‘master key’ available just in case an attendee lost their key or forgot their combination.” The use scenarios are almost endless and Perlman was happy to share. “They are great for locking your valuables up at summer camps, dorms, beaches, pools, on golf carts, and in hotels.” What is now SAFEGO was a concept of Perlman’s father almost seven years ago, though as he recalled it was more of a “side-business without anyone dedicated to the project and marketing.” In November of 2015 Perlman took on the project, created a new improved model, and rebranded to SAFEGO with a full PR and marketing plan. The product took off in part from a similar product that was featured on the television show Shark Tank and the help of online analytics that placed SAFEGO among similar product searches on sites like Amazon. The power of the online ‘reviews’ only bolstered an already solid product. So what’s next for SAFEGO? To date there have been NO TSA issues when traveling with a SAFEGO and thus Perlman’s team have seen requests for both larger versions (to house larger tablets and electronics) and smaller versions. At this time a smaller, even sturdier version could be on the horizon. Be on the lookout for SAFEGO travel safes in the coming months and consider utilizing one in your travels, they seem to have a winning combination. |
