As CEO, Jesse Lee, explained, “Every food item for this meal was prepared in our mobile kitchen that was parked outside the event space.” This 20-foot, full commercial kitchen was an ‘events’ investment for the team at Old Market, as they work to bring their brand of food experiences to clients. By utilizing one of their in-house event spaces, The Veranda, the food was brought in to guests by community waitstaff representing other downtown businesses who were excited to give back and enjoy a fun evening during Creativity Week.
According to Chef Devin, “We wanted to do something a little different and more approachable than some of our more upscale events in the past.” The guests raved at each course with words including ‘fantastic,’ ‘wonderful,’ and ‘fun.’ Laura Renée Chandler, one of the Midnight Brunch attendees, lent her opinions, “I loved everything, especially the Walking Taco - it was seasoned perfectly…and the Punch Bellini was my favorite drink of the evening.”
If you are looking for a unique food experience at your next event, the CVB can inform you of local food truck laws and help you find the food truck flare you are looking for. This added fun can liven up a break, create real buzz for an evening gathering, and bring creative minds to the tables.
